Opus Oaks Faculty

Gale Bowman-Harlow
Gale is an artist and art educator.
Currently, she is the director of Opus Oaks, an
Art Place, Inc.
Gale has been teaching art and designing
art programs for more than 20 years.
She has a self-designed BA degree called
“Art in Deaf Culture” from Western Maryland College.
Because of her teaching, she works in
watercolors, illustration, sculpture, oil and acrylic painting, and pastels.
Most of her personal work involves a
spiritual exploratory discovery of intuitions in nature and modern cultural
issues.
Gale lives with her husband, Malcolm Harlow, on a
small farm outside of Berryville, VA.
It is a place to come to appreciate,
study, and experience art in the studios and the outdoors.
They have the blessing of three married
grown children and four grandchildren to play with on the planet.
