Dustin O’Hara
Dustin earned his BFA from The Maryland Institute College of Art in
Baltimore, MD in 2005 and his MFA from the University of New Hampshire in
Durham, NH in 2010. He loves teaching and working with students to give them
the chance to discover their own love for art.
His work is primarily landscape based but uses a variety of techniques and
mediums. Using oil paint, watercolor, pastel and charcoal, Dustin paints and
draws from observation, capturing moments of light and time in his art work.
He enjoys mixing techniques such as palette knife, and brush work with
composition and color theory to convey moments of beauty in his landscapes.
Dustin is an artist currently living in Stephens City, VA. He lives with his
wife, daughter, and in-laws in their beautiful historic house surrounded by
apple orchards and farmland, an infinite amount of inspiration for his
landscapes.
